Big Boi vs. Black Keys Mash-Up “The Brothers of Chico Dusty”
While researching the new poll for your favorite album of 2010, I ran across this gem. This is an epic set of 8 songs that mash up Big Boi and the Black Keys. The quality of this set is reminiscent of DJ Danger Mouse’s Grey Album, which mashed up Jay-Z and the Beatles.
This set, which uses vocals from Big Boi’s “Sir Lucious Left Foot – The Son of Chico Dusty” was released by an unknown DJ named “Wick-It”. I don’t know about ya’ll, but I listened to Big Boi’s CD so much when it came out I can’t listen to it much anymore, I played it out… But this mash-up sounds fresh. It revitalizes the CD. Enjoy, and happy New Years!
