Livin for today, a nigga might die tonight
Six lines, and five of them are lyrics: three from Top of the World and two from Daylight. They split between the street and money on one side and loyalty on the other, with 2 lines tagged loyalty, including a reminder that success didn't change the speaker. The one interview line is a comparison of Memphis groups rather than a boast. It's a small collection, but it covers living for today and doubting who is really on your side.
You mouth tellin me love, but I ain't feelin none
8Ball and MJG was the soulful side of Memphis, and Three 6 Mafia was the mad, younger side.
Gettin' paid, gettin' played, gettin' sprayed in the streets
Made a lot of cheese, people say I changed
But if you thinking this you never knew me from the gate mane
Stuck in Orange Mound (Mound), ten toes down (Down)
Nowhere to go but up, I'm underground I'm so down
But God bless me with this gift of poetry
So with this CD the world could see what I see
