Wisdom is the largest theme here (6 of 10), and 9 of the lines are lyrics. Be (Intro) alone gives 3: the present as a gift, a line on arms that won't reach for the sky, and the chosen one from the land of the frozen sun. Elsewhere, The Truth says time is the one who told it, The Corner says we write about wrong because it's hard to see right, and G.O.D. defines a rich man by knowledge, happiness and health. One interview line, from NME in 2019, is about not taking every joke seriously.
A rich man is one with knowledge, happiness, and his health
Granted we known each other for some time
It don't take a whole day to recognize sunshine
Never looking back or too far in front of me
The present is a gift, and I just wanna be
I look into mother's stomach, wonder if you are a boy or a girl
Turnin' this woman's womb into a tomb
But she and I agree, a seed we don't need
You would've been much more than a mouth to feed
We write songs about wrong 'cause it's hard to see right
We got arms but won't reach for the skies
The chosen one from the land of the frozen sun
Where drunk nights get remembered more than sober ones
But if you could take a joke and understand that you ain’t gotta take everything quite so seriously you’d be fine. You just gotta embrace your flaws.
Check it, it's like I'm fighting for freedom, writing for freedom
These record company niggas, I don't like when I see 'em
My ancestors, when I'm writing I see 'em and talk with 'em
