Tupac (2Pac) quotes

Some say the blacker the berry, the sweeter the juice

I say the darker the flesh, then the deeper the roots (Oh)

And since we all came from a woman

Got our name from a woman and our game from a woman

I wonder why we take from our women

Why we rape our women, do we hate our women?

They got money for wars, but can't feed the poor

And although it seems heaven-sent

We ain't ready to see a black president, uh (Oh-ooh)

I'd rather die like a man than live like a coward

Take the evil out the people, they'll be actin' right

There's no way I can pay you back

But the plan is to show you that I understand

You are appreciated

It's like a battle, trying to find the right words to say at the right time.

Before we find world peace

We gotta find peace and end the war in the streets

Institutionalized

I live my life a product made to crumble

Much too hardened for a smile, way too crazy to be humble

Here on Earth, tell me what's a black life worth?

A bottle of juice is no excuse, the truth hurts

But before we can be African, we gotta be black first.

Bury me smilin' with G's in my pocket

Have a party at my funeral, let every rapper rock it

The only thing that can kill me is death, that's the only thing that can ever stop me, is death, and even then my music will live forever.

I once contemplated suicide, and woulda tried

But when I held that 9, all I could see was my mama's eyes

So we live like caged beasts

Waitin' for the day to let the rage free

Back in elementary, I thrived on misery

Left me alone, I grew up amongst a dyin' breed

Baptized in eternal fire, I'll shed so many tears

Take me away from all the pressure and all the pain

They got me trapped, can barely walk the city streets

Without a cop harasskin' me, searching me, then askin' my identity

Hands up, throw me up against the wall, didn't do a thing at all
